Join Brite Coaching for what has become one of Vancouver’s most respected open water swim programs. Designed for both triathletes and dedicated fitness swimmers, this program develops the skills, confidence, and fitness required to move efficiently and comfortably in open water.
Across 11 weeks, athletes will train in a structured and supportive environment while learning the nuances that separate pool swimmers from strong open water swimmers. Each session blends technical skill development, open water awareness, and purposeful swim sets designed to build both endurance and confidence in the ocean.
Whether you are preparing for a triathlon, improving your open water skills, or simply looking to become a stronger swimmer, this program provides a professional coaching environment to support your progress.
Coaching
The program is led by Brite Coach Liam Clawson-Honeyman, who will guide athletes through the technical and physical demands of open water swimming. Throughout the summer, guest swim experts will periodically join sessions to offer deeper insights into stroke mechanics, sighting techniques, race strategy, and efficient movement through open water.
Coaching is delivered both from paddleboard observation and in-water support, allowing athletes to receive real-time feedback, demonstrations, and guidance. This combination ensures athletes receive meaningful technical feedback while also maintaining a safe and supportive training environment.
