Stroke Analysis

Video Stroke Analysis

Brite Coaching’s Video Stroke Analysis provides detailed technical feedback designed to identify and correct inefficiencies in your stroke. Using swim footage captured from the pool deck and, where possible, underwater, we analyze stroke mechanics, body position, propulsion, and timing to understand exactly where energy is being lost and where performance can improve.

This service is delivered remotely, allowing athletes to film their swim session locally and submit footage for professional analysis. The result is a structured improvement plan focused on practical changes that translate directly to better speed, efficiency, and endurance in the water.

Coaching

Video analysis and consultations are led by Brite Coach Liam Clawson-Honeyman, former national-team open water swimmer and USPORTS champion.

What the Program Includes

Video Analysis & Stroke Report

Athletes submit video footage of their swimming. Footage filmed from the pool deck is sufficient for analysis, and underwater footage can provide additional insight if it is available.

The footage is carefully reviewed to evaluate:

• Stroke mechanics and timing
• Body position and alignment
• Catch, pull, and propulsion mechanics
• Kick coordination and balance
• Sources of drag and technical inefficiencies

Athletes receive a comprehensive stroke analysis report that explains the findings in detail. The report outlines observed technical patterns, identifies the most significant opportunities for improvement, and provides clear prioritized corrections.

30-Minute Initial Consultation with Liam Clawson-Honeyman

The program begins with a live video consultation where the analysis and report are explained in detail.

During this session, athletes will:

• Review their swim footage
• Understand the key technical issues affecting efficiency
• Discuss the prioritized corrections identified in the stroke report

4 Weeks of Tailored Programming

Based on the video analysis, athletes receive a four-week structured improvement plan designed to implement the technical corrections identified.

Programming may include:

Mobility sessions to improve range of motion for effective stroke mechanics
Strength sessions to support propulsion and body control
Drill and technique sessions to reinforce proper movement patterns in the water

The objective is to translate technical feedback into consistent improvement through targeted practice.

30-Minute Follow-Up Consultation

After four weeks, athletes meet again with Liam Clawson-Honeyman to review progress and evaluate improvements.

This session includes:

• Discussion of changes in technique and efficiency
• Assessment of how well the corrections have been integrated
• Guidance on next steps for continued progress

Who This Is For

Swim video analysis is suited for swimmers and triathletes who want precise technical feedback and a structured plan to improve efficiency in the water.

By combining detailed analysis, a comprehensive stroke report, and targeted follow-up training, the program converts technical insight into measurable improvements in performance.
