Fuel Your Endurance Training Camp - Whistler, BC 

Friday, August 9th to Sunday, August 11th, 2023

Please join Brite Coaching for a full weekend of training your swim, bike and run with coaches and friends. Our focus for this camp will not only be to log good miles but also understand the role that fuelling and nutrition habits play in your ability to find a state of readiness, recoverability and thriving during and outside of sport. Nutritionist Alan Kenny will be joining us to support the athletes in our quest to nail our fuelling options and nutrition habits. Fuelling and nutrition is the most complex topic in endurance sport and it is a forever evolving realm of training and wellness. While the approach to sound nutritional habits is highly individualized there are some basic guidelines that support and allow us to elevate our performance game. If you are lucky enough to learn what works for you, you will experience energy levels and enjoyment in sport that will guarantee your longevity and health.

Camp Agenda:

The camp will begin Friday afternoon with an open water swim at Lakeside Park.

Athletes will have the option to swim 45-75mins in Alta Lake.

Friday evening is a dinner at a Whistler Cabin in Creekside. Friday night is a social night for all. Coach Christine will set up the weekend and review the objectives for Saturday and Sunday. Dinner will be catered ($30pp). BYOB.

Saturday will be the endurance ride of 100-160km leaving Lakeside Park. Athletes will ride the S2S highway using the old Ironman Canada route gaining elevation and valuable kms. Athletes will transition at Lakeside Park for a run off bike for 30-60mins. Transition will be set up at the park where athletes can leave bikes and grab fuel and hydration. Bike Tech will run SAG and support for the ride and the transition area. Athletes will then end their day with an easy OW swim for 20-35mins.

Saturday evening is a dinner at a Whistler Cabin in Creekside. Alan Kenny will present how athletes fuel and use nutrition to support their training, recovery and life. Dinner will be catered ($30pp). BYOB.

Sunday will be an early OW Swim from Lakeside Park followed by a moderate run of 70-120mins. All athletes will end at Lakeside Park for a recovery snack and review of the essentials. The camp will end no later than 2p.m. on Sunday.

Weekend Camp Rate: $250pp Cdn

Friday Dinner: $30pp Cdn

Saturday Dinner: $30pp Cdn

The camp is open to all athletes. This camp is largely for the multisport triathlete preparing for half and full ironman distances. Cyclists welcome.
